Acupuncture is a complete medical protocol focused on correcting imbalances of energy in the body. Hair-thin needles are used for treating a wide range of conditions including reducing symptoms of pain, PTSD, insomnia, diabetes, weight loss, alergies and much more. Acupuncture is a key component of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). While there are a variety of forms and philosophies under which to practice acupuncture, TCM is probably the most widespread in the United States.
Acupuncture originated in China over 3,500 years ago and heals by bringing the energy or Qi (pronounced “chee”) of the mind, body and spirit to a balanced state. While each patient experiences acupuncture differently, many experience a calm, relaxed state, and occasionally fall asleep.
At The Inn Spot Community Acupuncture & Stress Relief Lounge, all of our acupuncturists are licensed and board certified. We use tiny hair-thin needles, making the experience of acupuncture treatment much different than an injection, in order to stimulate specific acupuncture points on your body.
Qi, our life force energy, flows along pathways or “channels” which connect our organs to each other and to the surface of our bodies. Traditional Chinese Medicine is principled in the inter-connectedness of all aspects of our being—both internally and externally.
While we experience a state of well-being called health when Qi is balanced and flowing smoothly through the channels, we feel unwell when that flow has become altered and imbalanced. Here at the Inn Spot Community Acupuncture & Stress Relief Lounge, we strive to help you reestablish that balance and regain a feeling of health and wellness.
