Our Approach

The Inn Spot Community Acupuncture & Stress Relief Lounge offers low-cost acupuncture, integrative health services & healing arts to our community. We provide high quality treatments by licensed acupuncturists in a healing supportive community setting. The Inn Spot offers very affordable rates so that finances are not a barrier to receiving health services regularly and as needed. Community partnerships and patient/community education is highly valued. We offer acupuncture (community setting, children, couples & private sessions are available) Cupping, Gua Sha, Chinese Herbal supplements including CBD, massage, meditation, mindfulness, sound-healing and much more.

Acupuncturist

Jacqueline is a long time believer in integrating mental and physical healthcare, as a certified Addiction Treatment Counselor, Jacqueline worked as a mental healthcare provider for over 10 years before deciding to integrate bodywork and acupuncture into her practice. Jacqueline graduated with her Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and has brought her passion for community medicine to the Inn Spot Community Acupuncture. Jacqueline is a longtime human rights advocate, and organizes along the borderlands providing acupuncture services in Baja shelters. She feels strongly about every human being’s right to life, health, dignity, and respect.

Dr. Thomas Noonan: LAc, DACM

Acupuncturist

Thomas earned  his doctorate degree in acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, and his Master's of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from South Baylo University in Los Angeles, California after graduating from George Washington University in Washington, DC with a BS in Exercise Science. Thomas is experienced, practicing in the community acupuncture setting as well as in an integrative clinic with chiropractors and massage therapists. When not in the clinic, Thomas enjoys being active outdoors and spending time with his dog, JJ, who you just might find hanging out at the Inn Spot.

Yuta Wakao

 

Acupuncturist

                                                                Yuta was born in Nagoya, Japan and raised in Oahu for 10 years. He later moved to Osaka, Japan to finish high school. Yuta has been in California for 10 years where he dabbles in surfing, rediscovering healthy life habits through Nature, open mindedness and being with friends. Yuta earned his Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. He has over 6 years of massage therapy experience in which he has seen patients here in San Diego, Hawaii and Japan. Yuta strongly believes in the power of our bodies innate ability to heal itself by drawing focus to areas of the body with acupuncture. Yuta also helps people train in traditional Thai Boxing at King Muay Thai on Wednesdays!

Tom Tseng

Acupuncturist

Tom is a licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist, receiving his Master's Degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Tom states that as an acupuncturist, he can prevent or modify the perception of pain, or normalize physiological functions, including pain control for the treatment of certain diseases and dysfunctions of the body. He approaches healthcare in a variety of modalities with acupuncture, massage, and cupping.

Guy Page

Founder & CEO

Guy Page was born and raised in San Diego, California. Inspired by his veteran father, Guy joined the United States Air Force in his early 20s. After leaving the armed forces Guy started suffering from chronic pain and began receiving acupuncture treatments as an alternative form of medicine. He went to a life changing seminar held by Acupuncturists Without Borders where he discovered community acupuncture, how helpful and affordable it is. This experience compelled him to quit his job and finance a community acupuncture clinic, The Inn Spot, in which he is now healing his veteran population with free services. Guy is currently the spokesperson for Veterans Chamber of Commerce. In his free time, Guy enjoys participating in the healing arts of Yoga, Reiki, Tennis, and Sound Therapy.

Sgt. Spot

Team Leader

Spot brings joy and peace to the clinic with his calm demeanor, leading from the back of the pack, and inspiring us all to live the good life. He is from Washington DC, has been twice certified as a Canine Good Citizen by the American Kennel Club and as a Therapy Dog by Therapy Dogs International in 2012 and again in 2018. When he's not eating blueberries or other treats at the clinic, you can find him swimming after his frisbee in the ocean. He says come by and give him some love on Tuesdays from 9am-1pm.

Kathy San Filippo

Executive Director

Kathy is the owner of Rocking Horse Ranch, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, that is well known for providing contract services to mental health and substance abuse treatment facilities, as well as private individuals and families, in order to help facilitate their healing needs. She holds a master's degree in Counseling Psychology and has worked for more than thirty years in the field of Experiential and Adventure Therapy. Kathy has developed curriculum, trained numerous therapists from local organizations, and has been at the forefront of providing experiential therapy services throughout San Diego County. She is known for her success with clients who have failed to thrive in the traditional "office" environment and holds to the belief that people are resilient and can overcome life's adversities.

Community Acupuncture Services

The Inn Spot offers community acupuncture services in San Diego, CA.  These services are open every day of the week to the public, except on Tuesdays) from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm.  These acupuncture services are offered on a walk-in basis.  Patients can expect to be greeted at the front door, complete some paperwork about their medical history so the attending acupuncturist can provide the best service and then enter a group setting where others are healing as well.  Our community rooms each have four chairs and low lights and sound to promote wellness.  The typical appointment averages thirty minutes.

Free Acupuncture Services for Military First Responders and their Families!

Every Tuesday, free acupuncture services are available to all active service military, veterans, first responders and their families.  These free services are provided from 0900-1700 every Tuesday.  Our providers use a NADA protocol to reduce symptoms of pain, stress, anxiety and PTSD.  We are in partnership with Acupuncturists Without Borders which allows us to offer this treatment at absolutely no cost.
